Al-Sultan Abdullah appointed Muhyiddin Yassin as the new prime minister of Malaysia

Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin took his oath of office as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia.

“His Majesty has appointed YB Tan Sri Mahiaddin Bin Md Yasin (Muhyiddin) as Prime Minister in line with article 40(2)(a) and article 43(2)(a) of the Federal Constitution,”. The statement was issued by the Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin.

Al-Sultan Abdullah believes this is the best solution for all parties and His Majesty hopes that this would end the political crisis, Ahmad Fadil said.
