India has appointed Dr. Hifzur Rahman as the next Ambassador to the State of Libya, marking an important step in New Delhi’s efforts to deepen diplomatic engagement in North Africa.

The Embassy of India in Cairo organized a two-day exhibition (October 2–3, 2025) titled “The Human Cost of Terrorism” at the India House in Zamalek to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, which is celebrated globally as the “International Day of Non-Violence.”
