India and Egypt Explore New Horizons for Financial and Banking Cooperation Amid Growing Trade

Indian Ambassador to Cairo, Suresh K. Reddy, met with Hassan Abdullah, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and India in the banking and financial sectors, thereby strengthening the economic ties between the two countries.

The meeting addressed opportunities to expand bilateral partnerships in banking reform and financial cooperation, as well as the exchange of expertise between financial institutions in both countries, and enhanced coordination to support financial stability and develop economic relations.

Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the coming period, in line with the growing volume of trade and investment between Egypt and India, and to bolster partnership opportunities in the banking and financial sectors, particularly given the rapid developments in the international financial sector.
