India – Liechtenstein Dialogue at Hyderabad House: Innovation Meets Diplomacy

On 20 February 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed His Serene Highness Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein at Hyderabad House in New Delhi, on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026. The meeting underscored the evolving nature of India – Liechtenstein relations, blending traditional diplomacy with forward-looking technological collaboration.

The discussion focused on deepening bilateral ties across trade, investment, and innovation, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, research and development, and skill-building initiatives. Both leaders hailed the entry into force of the India–TEPA Free Trade Agreement, recognizing its potential to catalyze economic engagement and attract investment, while laying the foundation for long-term strategic cooperation.

Beyond economic imperatives, the conversation highlighted shared aspirations for an innovation-driven partnership, reflecting how small yet dynamic nations like Liechtenstein can complement India’s vision for technology-led growth. Against the backdrop of the AI Summit, this dialogue reaffirmed that modern diplomacy is increasingly about synergizing global talent, technology, and policy, demonstrating that even high-tech collaboration can be anchored in trust and mutual respect.

The Hyderabad House engagement thus marked not just a ceremonial courtesy, but a forward-looking blueprint for India–Liechtenstein cooperation, merging economic pragmatism with visionary, technology-enabled diplomacy.
