
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met Prime Minister of Mauritius, H.E. Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam in Mauritius during his two-day state visit to Mauritius.
Mr. Modi began his visit to the island nation with a sapling planting ceremony at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical, alongside his Mauritius counterpart Navinchandra Ramgoolam. Mr. Modi also paid homage at the concrete ‘Samadhi’ of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, the founding father of Mauritius and at the ‘Samadhi’ of Anerood Jugnauth, former President and Prime Minister of Mauritius. Later he met President of Mauritius Dharam Gokhool.
