Walter Roger Martos Ruiz on Thursday was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Peru to replace Pedro Cateriano.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government Palace in Lima.
Led by Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra, the act sees the presence of members of the outgoing Cabinet.
The new President of the Council of Ministers had served as Defense Minister and is a retired Army General.
He graduated in Military Sciences from the Chorrillos Military School and holds Master’s Degrees in Military Sciences as well as in Strategic Planning and Decision Making from the Army’s Superior War College.
