Bishkek Talks: Modi and Pashinyan Discuss Stronger India – Armenia Tie
Leaders meet on the sidelines of the SCO Summit and exchange views on regional and global developments
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday, 31 August, on the sidelines of the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen and expand bilateral relations between India and Armenia. Their meeting provided an opportunity to review areas of mutual interest and exchange views on developments affecting the region and the wider international community.
According to information shared following the meeting, Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Pashinyan also discussed regional and global developments, including the situation in West Asia.
India and Armenia maintain friendly and expanding bilateral relations, with cooperation developing across several areas. The two countries have continued high-level engagement and exchanges in recent years, alongside cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
