The president Trump and first lady Melania Trump are to be feted in a whirlwind, two-day diplomatic display aimed at highlighting U.S.-Indian relations amid escalating trade frictions between the two countries.

US President Donald Trump reached for his maiden visit to India for talks with the top Indian leadership during which the two countries are expected to significantly ramp up bilateral relations, especially in the defence and
strategic ties. Trump, who accompanied by First Lady Melania, daughter Ivanka, son-in-law Jared Kushner and the top brass of his administration.

Their Majesties, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden are on a State Visit to India. Foreign Minister of Sweden also called on External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to discuss matters of mutual interest.
