H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-Cha (Ret.), Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, chaired the 3rd Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Summit during the 35th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits. The Meeting was attended by ASEAN Leaders, and Leaders from Australia, China, India, Japan, Republic of Korea, and New Zealand. The Meeting welcomed the conclusion of the RCEP negotiations and the commitment to sign the RCEP Agreement in 2020. This will significantly contribute to an open, inclusive and rules-based international trading system and expansion of value chains. To mark the progress, the Meeting issued a Joint Leaders’ Statement on RCEP Negotiations.
